Estefan owns many properties in and around the country. She also owns a café - The Bongos Cuban Cafe- which was recently in news. A woman, Gerri Ann Yanks filed a lawsuit against the eatery claiming that the place had 'disfigured' her to an extent that caused "bodily injury, pain, physical handicap, disfigurement, mental pain and suffering, loss of income, and loss of the capacity to enjoy life," according to TMZ.
Miami Herald contacted Estefan Enterprises, Inc. about the case and received a diplomatic comment.
"The lawsuit is being handled by our outside counsel, and we are not permitted to comment on pending litigation. We always take these matters very seriously, so both our insurance company and attorneys are on the case," Frank Amadeo, president of Estefan Enterprises, Inc. told the Herald.
While Gloria's real estate affairs are being well taken care of, she is currently on a European tour promoting her latest album "The Standards". She will be performing in Basel, the Swiss city, Tuesday evening. She is already enjoying her time there. She tweeted a picture of the city, explaining how excited she is.
