The "Thor: Ragnarok" film will not hit theaters until 2017 and yet, it is being highly anticipated by fans as early as now.
Seeing brothers Thor and Loki in action is a scene fans always look forward to, however, another noteworthy aspect of the movie is Mark Ruffalo's Hulk. In "Thor 3," Hulk will play a vital role, which is good news because in the first two films, he only played a supporting character.
Ruffalo, when asked by USA Today about Hulk's solo movie, responded, "Actually, it feels even further away. It's not Marvel's property; it's Universal's property. I don't know. It seems problematic. I've been around long enough to be OK with it. There's only so much that's in my power and I'm not going to agonize over what is not in my power...I'd love to do it, it'd be really fun. There's a lot still to do with the character. I always try to think about different places we could go with him."
Universal Studios own the distribution rights of the Hulk even though it doesn't own the character right. Therefore, if Marvels makes a solo film for it, the former still distributes it.
In the same interview with USA Today, Ruffalo said he hopes to see Bruce Banner and the Hulk separated at one point and thinks it's pretty exciting if it can be pulled off. It remains to be seen what the outcome would be.
