The "Samsung Galaxy J3" was spotted on Geekbench in the early October. Now, it looks like the said phone has passed the FCC. However, this certification did not reveal a lot of information about the "Samsung Galaxy J3". All that was said is that the device with the model number SM J3109 was tested for cellular data 3G, 2G, and LTE. It was also revealed that the said smartphone will have a Snapdragon 410 SoC chipset with a 64 bit Cortex A 53 CPU. The screen size will be 5 inches and the resolution will be 720p. The RAM is 1 GB and the internal memory is 8 GB, expandable through a microSD slot. The cameras would be an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. This "Samsung Galaxy J2" successor will run the Android OS of v5.1.1 Lollipop.
Although the details that we have about the J3 is limited to what benchmarks and rumors have revealed, we can assume some additional details through the "Galaxy J2". The two phones have lots of similarities including the 1 GB RAM , 8 GB storage, and the Lollipop OS. So if the "Samsung Galaxy J3" is anything like its predecessor, it may also come with an FM radio and may belong to the 100 Euro to 200 Euro price group. However, we do hope that J2's 2000 mAh battery will not be carried over to the J3, a battery that's a little better than that should be sported by the new phone. Furthermore, the 8 MP and 5 MP cameras that the "Samsung Galaxy J3" is said to come with is a big improvement from J2's 5 MP and 2 MP camera combo. The resolution of the previous model is also of lower quality compared to what the J3 is said to come with.
In general, the "Samsung Galaxy J3" is an improvement to the "Samsung Galaxy J2", at least if the rumored specs are true. As to the release date of the "Galaxy J3", it's hard to say if its coming soon as the J2 has just been released last September.
