Hollywood has seen numerous couples break up, and a number of celebrities have recently filed for divorce. Though that's the case, TV host Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi remain to be one of the long-time couples in the industry, as reported by Pop Sugar. Learn some things about the couple's personal life by taking a tour of their Santa Monica ranch.
In February of this year, Elle managed to step inside Ellen and Portia's Santa Monica ranch, which reportedly serves as the couple's retreat and where Portia gets to indulge in her love for horses. According to the report, it was in 2009 that the couple bought the Los Angeles home, which measures 28 acres and was previously owned by actor William Powell in the 1920s.
The property features eight cabins, and one of the cabins' living rooms features a brick fireplace with shelves built around it plus plush white cushions. In the report, Ellen said that the property was a professional horse facility when they bought it and that they were immediately attracted by the place's landscape.
The report stated that the host's knack for designing houses was put into good use in their Santa Monica home. Other features of the house include an art barn with antique furniture, a horse barn where Portia's horses get groomed, which also features early American furniture, a romantic barn, pasture seating and more.
Meanwhile, Ellen is known to own a lot of properties, and it's difficult to keep track of the ones she has sold already. Back in 2011, Pret-a-Reporter also got to step inside Ellen and Portia's home in Beverly Hills, which measures 9,200 square feet. The house features a peaceful koi pond in front, a pool surrounded by several trees and more.
