Another actress will be joining the cast of TNT's post-apocalyptic series, "The Last Ship," in Season 3, which will air sometime next year.
According to Latin Post, "Law & Order" actress Elisabeth Rohm will be joining the show for Season 3. Reports reveal that Rohm will be playing the role of Allison Shaw, who is the Chief of Staff to President Michener (Mark Moses). The character was described as a highly intelligent woman who will serve the President and serve as an incredible authority figure. In addition, it was reported that she will navigate through the new world which is already ravaged by the disease and also politics.
It was earlier reported that "Jane the Virgin" alum Bridget Regan has been confirmed to be one of the new additions to the show. According to the report, she will be playing the role of Sasha who is a former Navy Intelligence officer who will be working under the diplomatic cover in China for the newly reformed government of the United States. It wasn't clear as to whether she will be a friend or enemy of the crew of Nathan James.
According to Cartermatt, the new season of the show will have a global feel compared with the previous season. The site said that Eric Dane's character Chandler will be under stress to control the Navy and will be working harder than ever to protect the people who need them and to also improve the reputation of the military.
"The Last Ship" hails from the known executive producer and director Michael Bay, and it has been a huge hit with cable network viewers, which is why fans were reportedly happy that the show has been renewed for Season 3.
As of writing, there is still no confirmed schedule for the premiere of Season 3, but the show is currently in production and it is expected to return sometime in June or July 2016.
