'The Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Billy Abbot Burned in Fire, Role for Possible Re-cast

“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) reveals that as fire engulfs the Newman Enterprises, Billy Abbott (Burgess Jenkins) will be badly burned which will lead to a serious medical condition.

Prior to the fire, there had been speculations that Jenkins will be leaving the show which was also confirmed by the actor. With the bad facial burn of Billy, it opens for a possible recast since the character will not die. It is rumored that Jason Thompson will replace Jenkins' role as the character of Billy Abbott get a plastic surgery which explains the change in appearance, Celeb Dirty Laundry reported.

To recall, Billy went into the burning building in an attempt to rescue his kids not knowing that his children are all safe at the Genoa City Memorial Hospital. In Tuesday's episode, he was trapped in the building with enemies Victor (Eric Braeden) and Adam Newman (Justin Hartley. Billy's face was burned from a huge explosion who was saved by Adam who pulled him out of the fire. He was in a bad shape when he arrived at the hospital and only a miracle can make him survive.

Due to his bad condition, doctors suggested having a complete and extensive plastic surgery. It is assumed that when the surgery is done, actor Jason Thompson will take over the role of Jenkins.

Meanwhile, there will be a lot of drama due to the fire especially that it is impossible to leave the building through the stairs. Spoilers reveal that Sage, Mariah, Kevin, and Nick will be out safely with the kids while Ben and Ashley will be trapped at the employee kitchen and Jack and Phyllis are stocked in the lounge, She Knows Soaps reported.

Since Ben's legs are hurting, he will tell Ashley to leave but Ashley won't leave him alone. The two will soon face their feelings for each other. Meanwhile, Patty will try to help Jack and Phyllis.
