Music producer Neil Jacobson has recently put his small but high-end Santa Monica condo on the market. Jacobson, who is currently the executive VP at Interscope Records, is asking just a shade under $3 million for the property, which was once owned by the highly revered and still active Hollywood legend Donald Sutherland, according to the Hollywood Reporter. In fact, it was Sutherland who actually designed the beachfront abode.
Jacobson acquired the beachfront condo just over a year ago for $2.5 million. Rumors of his engagement and the plan to move to a bigger home is one of the persisting reasons why he is selling the property, Variety reports.
The condo has three storeys and is situated in a simple, three-unit faux-Tudor compound located on Palisades Beach. The property is just short of 1,500 square feet and features open-plan and wood-floored living spaces that are strategically placed in the middle level to provide residents with a maximized view.
Inside, residents are ushered in to cathedral ceilings; tall built-in bookshelves made of mahogany with an integrated work station; state-of-the-art home theater; and sliders with wooden frames and transom windows. Other highlights of the condo include a master bedroom with access to a balcony that presents residents with a vast view that stretches from Santa Monica Pier all the way to Malibu.
The house has three bedrooms, one of which is located near the dining area and two bathrooms. The third level is a flexible loft that can be used for various purposes.
Justin Alexander of Pardee Properties represents the listing.
Jacobson is a veteran in the music industry and has helped mold a number of artists and steer them to the top. Among the popular artists he guided are Gwen Stefani, Robin Thicke, and the Black-Eyed Peas.
