NBA News and Trade Rumors: Memphis Grizzlies to Acquire Mario Chalmers Trading Beno Udrih

After losing to Cavaliers with 30 points deficit last Tuesday, the Memphis Grizzlies hit another bump as they loss once more with Stephen Curry's Golden State. The opportunity to redeem their defeat with the Cavaliers slipped away as the Golden State Warriors demolished the Grizzlies, winning the game with a 50 point lead.

The Grizzlies is having trouble creating a momentum, testament to this is their 2 wins and 2 losses team standing. Despite the presence of their star center player Marc Gasol, Grizzlies seemed to be having an unstable start this season. In relevance to the struggle of Grizzlies, rumors have been spreading that the team would acquire the service of veteran Miami Heat point-guard Mario Chalmers. With the possible addition of Chalmers in the Grizzlies' roster, the team would expect the best out Chalmers play-making ability, three-point shooting and defense, which undeniably made a significant impact on Miami Heat's back-to-back Championship.

ESPN reported that the Grizzlies are currently weighing down their options in order to boost up their roster, especially after suffering two heavy losses. According to espn, "the Grizzlies have explored the possibility of dealing for Chalmers, who is known throughout the league to be available after Miami signed point guard Goran Dragic to a long-term deal over the summer."

In order for this speculated transfer to materialize, according to the report, a possible trade involving point guards Beno Udrih would somehow be required. Meanwhile, from Chalmers' perspective the rumored trade is something that he would need to deal with as part of a career transition. Admittedly, Chalmers is cognizant of his current situation, stating that it is out of his control. He then added via espn that;

"It's definitely been tough, but I'm built like that ... for tough moments, to deal with things. I've always had the odds stacked against me. That's what made me who I am. Especially with the way things have been going, I've got to prove every day why I'm here, why I've got two championship rings, why I was a starting point guard on two championship teams. So I've just got to keep proving myself."

As of the moment there are still no indications about any looming trade process with regards to the rumored interest of Grizzlies for Mario Chalmers. If indeed true, then perhaps the Grizzlies would find their balance in person of Chalmers, just like what he did while he was playing with the superstars of Miami Heat.
