NBA News and Updates: Rajon Rondo Is Vlade Divac's Personal Choice, Rondo Fitting in with the Kings

After being transferred from one team to another, one of NBA's elite point guard may have finally found a suitable team. Rajon Rondo, who spent his recent NBA seasons either battling injury or his coach or even getting suspended, may have finally landed on a team and a coach that would complement his personality and playing style. After scoring a victory against Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings point guard, Rondo, has once again proven why he was dubbed as one of NBA's elite point guard.

Despite the criticism and how the media painted his personality, Rajon Rondo still remains positive. In his statement via yahoo, he stated that;

"People that know me, know me," Rondo told Yahoo Sports. "I am the way I am. ... They know my character. It is what it is. The perception the media gave me, the character of the person they made me, whoever they made me out to be, that's their prerogative. It doesn't affect me at all."

Now that he has no Kevin Garnett to guide him, Rondo is expected to step up, especially being one of the veteran members of the team. So far in his recent games, Rondo was able to score 21 points and eight assists in two of Sacramento's first three games. And he was also able to connect with one of Kings' star player, center DeMarcus Cousins.

With this display of performance in the hard court, seems the decision of Kings President Vlade Divac to add Rondo on the roster is paying off. Divac explained via Yahoo Sports his move, stating that;

"I knew he was going to be available. He was my first choice when I went after some free agents. Honestly, we weren't a perfect destination in free agency and that was something we could take advantage of. He works well for us. We have things to turn around. I was very honest with him. I knew people were talking. But this is a great opportunity not only for him, but for us. Honestly, we were probably the first ones to approach. Everyone was scared. I wasn't. As a player, I knew what he could do."

It's still too early to have any final conclusion regarding Ronda and the Kings, we would just have to wait and see how the game of the Kings and Rondo would progress throughout the season.
