"Outlander" is busy filming scenes for its season two, but lead actor Sam Heughan took time out in between takes to promote the show's latest merchandise.
The actor, who plays the handsome Scottish laired on the hit series, appeared on a YouTube video posted by Sony Pictures Entertainment. He unboxed the recently launched "Outlander Season One: The Ultimate Collection."
"I'm really excited to take a quick break from shooting to share with you an exclusive, first glimpse of 'Season One: Ultimate Collection,'" the actor said in the video.
The collection, housed in a cream-colored box, includes a Blu-ray edition of the show's first season and its original soundtrack. The discs are encased in a "very glossy" book, complete with exclusive behind-the-scenes information and other extras.
The box also includes a "secret compartment" which contains pictures of Heughan and Catriona Balfe as Jamie Fraser and Calaire Randall. The pictures come with quotes at the back and a foldable cardboard frame.
"My favorite part of the Ultimate Collection has to be the hip flask," Heughan said, pulling out a black flask engraved with the show's details. As an added treat, Heughan spoke in Gaelic and jokingly suggested that the flask be filled with whisky.
Heughan then signed the box and revealed that one lucky fan will get the chance to win the collector's item. He asked the viewers to tweet "#GiftMeOutlander" on the show's official Twitter account for a chance to win the autographed item.
Heughan ended the video by saying that the "Ultimate Collection" is a perfect gift for the holiday season, and greeted his fans on behalf of the entire "Outlander" crew.
According to Outlander TV News, the "Outlander" merchandise is now available on Amazon for $104.99.
