Martin lives with his partner and his two twin sons on the Upper East Side in the city. He purchased the home located at 170 East End Ave for $5.9 million in January2013, under the same trust that was used to buy the 40 Bond Street residence.

Martin recently released his children's book "Santiago the Dreamer in Land Among the Stars". Check out an animated version of its summary below:

In an interview with Rachel Martin of NPR.org, Martin says how much part his children played in bringing together the book:

"They were part of it. I became a dad and all of the sudden this amazing amount of information that I started receiving from kids was, I didn't know what to do with it."

"So, I just started writing, you know, stories, and it's beautiful, 'cause kids, they brought me back to my childhood and I started remembering what it was like when I started in the music business. And that's what the story is about. It's about a child who auditions for his play at school and he was rejected. And the relationship that he has with his father is exactly like the relationship I had with my father," he added.
