The "2012" actor John Cusack's childhood home in Illinois has reportedly gone under contract for sale, according to several news reports.
The Cusack family listed the place for $980,000 in October 2013 after residing in it for 40 long years. It did not spend much time on the market and has now gone under contract, reports Curbed.
According to the listing records at Redfin, the residence has spent only 47 days on the open market. The house is a 3191 square feet single family home, sitting on a 0.28 acre lot. Comprising of five bedrooms and three bathrooms, interiors of the home feature hardwood, tiled and carpeted flooring. Large glass windows and dark hardwood doors adorn the home.
Outside, the home has a big patch of green and a large backyard that serves as a sitting area.
The listing describes the home as:

Cusack has some properties around the country. His Chicago home was on the market for $1.15 million earlier. He also has a property in Malibu, which a woman tried to break into recently. Cusack was not at home when the woman was trying to trespass into the property, reports TMZ.
However, looks like Cusack wanted to spend some time in his childhood home before it traded hands. He was recently spotted in Chicago. He was hanging out at the Three Dots and Dash bar. But apparently, Cusack is very 'diet' conscious these days and he doesn't want to put on any weight.
According to ShowbizSpy.com, he refused to put on weight to portray the wasted Brian Wilson in the biopic 'Love and Mercy'
"Execs were shocked when Cusack turned up looking fit as a fiddle - then even had the nerve to laugh it off, saying he'd been dating a hot yoga instructor and didn't want to turn her off by being bloated," a source told the National Enquirer.
