Bobbi Kristina Brown'saunt, Pat Houston, revealed that they were planning to send her niece to rehab before she was found unresponsive at her Atlanta home in January. Whitney Houston's daughter was in trouble and her family was reportedly aware of it, but it was too late as she was found unconscious in her bathtub before the intervention took place.
For the first time, Bobbi Kristina's aunt broke her silence in a detailed interview with Entertainment Tonight (E.T.). According to Houston, who is also the sister-in-law and former manager of the late Whitney Houston, they were planning to put Bobbi into a rehab facility in California. However, their move was too late, Daily Mail reports.
"When we really found out that Krissy was in trouble, we were really making plans to do something about it, but it came too late, Houston told E.T. When she was asked what could she possibly tell her niece if she's alive, she said, "You have to love yourself. You have to call on people and not allow someone to divide you and then conquer you."
Bobbi Kristina's aunt claimed that she filed a restraining order against Bobbi's former boyfriend, Nick Gordon, after he shared a picture of himself posing with a gun. She claimed that her action caused a strain on her relationship with her niece. Everyone thought that Bobbi was mad at her, but she claimed that she was texting her.
"External attraction can really cause problems," Bobbi Kristina's aunt said of Bobbi and Nick's relationship.
Meanwhile, at the time of Bobbi Kristina's aunt revelation, the late aspiring singer's alleged caretaker at the hospice was said to be a fraud. Taiwo Sobamowo, the caretaker who pretended to be a nurse was recently arrested by the Duluth Police Department. Sobamowo was charged of practicing medicine without a license and identity fraud, according to Gawker.
