'The Big Bang Theory' Star Kaley Cuoco's Divorce Caused By Ryan Sweeting's Alcohol & Drug Abuse; Other Details Revealed

"The Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco recently filed for divorce from her husband of 21 months, Ryan Sweeting.

According to Page Six, Cuoco could no longer tolerate her ex-husband's drug and alcohol addiction. An insider close to the couple revealed that Cuoco even gave Sweeting a final ultimatum that if he doesn't stay sober, she will leave him.

The professional tennis player did stay sober for a short period of time while he was in rehab, but when he left the facility, he didn't come home and made the actress worried sick.

"Kaley gave him an ultimatum. 'If you don't stay sober, then I'm done.' He went to rehab, but when he came out he went missing for a period of time... like four days," the insider said.

"He had some drinking issues in college and he was doing painkillers as early as 2013 at least," the insider added.

Meanwhile, according to People, Cuoco and Sweeting may seem like an ordinary happy couple when they were still together, but behind the scenes, they were fighting nonstop.

Since both of them had very different personalities, Cuoco and Sweeting would always have disagreements. This later on led to their divorce where they cited irreconcilable differences as the main reason.

In other news, Sweeting also fired back by submitting his divorce papers a few days after "The Big Bang Theory" star filed for hers. According to multiple publications, Sweeting asked for spousal support.

"The divorce petition states the pair signed a prenuptial agreement in November 2013 that will dictate Cuoco's spousal support payments to Sweeting and how they will divide their assets," the publication noted.

Meanwhile, Cuoco recently denied that her divorce was caused by her co-star and ex-boyfriend Johnny Galecki.

Cuoco currently stars on "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 as Penny, Leonard's wife.
