Lil Wayne's Miami Beach House Raid By Police Per Judge's Order

Police authorities seized assets from the Miami Beach mansion of Lil Wayne as per judge's order.

According to TMZ, when the police arrived at Wayne's mansion, his security personnel refused to let them in. The police explained that they are there in order to seize some of Wayne's assets since he was not able to pay his $2 million debt to Signature Group.

Reportedly, there was a court order that allowed Miami-Dade County Sheriff's deputies to break the locks of the house and even destroy the doors if it is needed in order to confiscate assets from the inside.

Local 10 reported that Sky 10 was above Wayne's home around five in the afternoon and they were able to see that there are items being moved from his home into a truck. It has been said that some art works were being wrapped properly before being loaded in the truck.

The Miami New Times shared that what happened was repossession. The publishing said that "To recover that cash, Signature Group asked Walsh to authorize a 'break order,' basically giving them the right to storm Wayne's house - with or without the rapper's permission - to obtain his assets."

Per TMZ's report, Signature Group is a jet leasing company who went after Wayne after his incomplete payments during the first two years of the three years contract he signed for. It was stated in the suit that Wayne had more than $1 million on his tab as of July 2014 which he denied and said that he never signed any contract with the company.

Last September, the decision came out and Judge Lisa S. Walsh ruled in favor of Signature. Wayne was left with no choice but to pay his debt to Signature. But since it has been a year already there are late fees which caused the amount to increase to almost $1.8 million. On top of that, he also needs to pay the $200,000 attorney's fee.
