'Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft' New Co-op Game Mode 'Unite Against Mechazod' To Run For One Week This November

Blizzard will finally allow "Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft" players to play with each other and not against each other in a co-op match, Polygon reports. But the catch is, it is not going to be a permanent thing because the co-op play will only run for one week.

"Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft" is a free-to-play online card game from Blizzard Entertainment. Launched in March 2014, it is based on the tradition of its World of Warcraft series adapted to a collectible card game between two opposing players.

The limited-time Tavern Brawl special titled "Unite Against Mechazod" will, for one week, allow players to get a partner and fight against a mechanical player "Mechazod" in a card battle.

The official announcement regarding this Tavern Brawl was released in the Battle.net where it says everybody will be on the same side to defeat Gearmaster Mechazod.

The announcement further reads, "Each turn he'll move from your side of the board to your friend's, and you'll need to play your cards just right to bring him down together. Watch out! If one of you is defeated, then you both are, so don't be stingy with the heals."

"Gearmaster Mechazod is ready for you! He's got an arsenal of gnasty gnomish inventions and he's going to use every tool at his greasy fingertips to wreck you and your partner. On the plus side, you'll walk away with your Tavern Brawl Hearthstone pack whether you win or lose!"

According to Polygon, the new co-op mode will take place on Tavern Brawls' "usual time" which means that it could start tomorrow and run through Nov. 9.

While some are being stirred by rumors suggesting that this could turn out to be a regular game mode in the future, an official update from Blizzard is yet to confirm it. The company is reportedly going to discuss "Hearthstone" in the 2015 Blizzcon that will commence on Nov. 6.
