Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Garnett Gives Concord Home a Pricechopper; Now Asking $4.2 Million

Kevin Garnett, the power forward of Brooklyn Nets has reportedly given his home in Concord, Massachusetts, a price chopper. The residence is now asking $4.2 million, according to several news reports.

Garnett first listed the home in October 2013 with a $4.8 million price tag, just four months after he shifted to Brooklyn Nets from the Boston Celtics. As he moved away from Boston, the listing didn't come as a surprise. He and his wife, Brandi had purchased the place in 2006 for $4.7 million. Although they were looking for a slight profit on the sale initially, it failed to trade over the two months.

Garnett must be desperate to sell, lowering the price tag and is also ready to take a slight loss on the sale.

According to the listing records at Realtor.com, the single family home is a large 11,000 square feet residence sitting on a prime, waterfront 12.7 acre land. Comprising of five bedrooms, five full and one half bathroom, the home has large, airy rooms with high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass windows and lovely, light hardwood flooring.

Outside, the home has a large garden area, a 4-car garage and fenced yard.

The listing describes the place as:

Garnett started his National Basketball Association (NBA) career in 1995. He has had a sparkling journey throughout the years playing for Minnesota Timberwolves, The Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets now. He was declared the NBA champion in 2008 and the Most Valuable NBA player of 2004. He also represented the United States at the Olympic Games, winning the gold in 2000 in Sydney.

However, of late his stint with the Brooklyn Nets hasn't been very impressive. Garnett was 'averaging 7.8 rebounds and 6.6 points on 34 percent shooting' on Friday's game, his lowest since his rookie year, reports New York Daily News. The media has been speculating on his retirement, but Garnett apparently does not want to address the issue yet. He wants to play and is working on improving his strategies.

"Right now I'm just trying to figure out the system and where I fit in at that. Obviously Jason wants more ball movement, I'm trying to initiate that. I could care less about my offense right now. I've been too defensive minded, I've been trying to be primarily defensive minded and slow teams down and kind of be the example for that," Garnett told the publication.
