"Once Upon a Time" is already on its 100th episode and to make the milestone even more special for fans of the show, Giancarlo Esposito is set to return.
"Once Upon a Time" will be airing episode 100 and the show has prepared a special treat for its loyal followers. According to Entertainment Weekly, "Sidney Glass" or better known as the "Magic Mirror" will be back. Esposito will be returning to play the character once more. In his last appearance in the series, Sidney was seen as forging an alliance with the Snow Queen after she made a deal to release him from captivity in return for his services against Regina.
Showrunners, cast and crew are mum about the details of Esposito's return to "Once Upon a Time" presumably to keep a lid on what the landmark episode will be all about. It will not only be Esposito who will be coming back for the show's 100th episode. He will be joining Barbara Hershey who will reprise her role as the character "Cora" and "Peter Pan" who is played by Robbie Kay. Greg Germann known for his part in "Ally McBeal" has been announced as part of the cast of "Once Upon a Time" for the second half of the current season. He is reportedly going to play the role of "The Distinguished Gentleman."
In a report by Christian Post, the 100th episode is reportedly going to be named "Souls of the Departed." There was also leaked information that the series was auditioning for a special character that will be revealed in the milestone episode. The said role is described as being "devilish" and the idea of him or her taking a trip to the underworld has been floated around. The show's fifth season is expected to cover or at least build up on the storyline of this special character up to the big reveal.
