Jennifer Lawrence led the Hunger Games cast in welcoming their fans at the "Mockingjay Part 2" world premiere in Berlin. This is the first of the world series premiere for the Lionsgate film. More than 6,000 people were present at the Berlin's Sony Centre in Potsdamer Platz on Wednesday.
The 'girl on fire' wowed the Berlin crowd with her Dior Haute Couture--a sophisticated plunging purple gown with long sleeves. Her silver earrings and elegant updo completed her head turner look. Her other female co-stars were equally stunning. Julianne Moore who portrays the revolutionary President Coin, wore a classic black gown that brought out her timeless elegance. Elizabeth Banks who plays the colorful Effie Trinket dazzled the red carpet with her glittering floral gown and golden crown.
Lawrence's leading men Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark) and Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne) who both looked dapper in suites, expressed how they feel about the Hunger Games coming to an end. In an interview with The Wrap, Hutcherson said, "It feels good," "I mean, it's sad that it's coming to an end. I loved these movies and clearly I work with a bunch of a*****es, we love each other so much. But it's time."
Hemworth said, "I've come out of this whole journey with two of my best friends in the whole world." Clearly he treasures the bond he has formed with his co-stars since 2012.
The cast will also grace London, Paris, Los Angeles, Madrid and Beijing before the movie opens on November 20.
