NBA News and Updates: Golden State Warriors Determined to Silence Critics, Currently in a Winning Streak and Breaking Basketball Records

Aside from defending their NBA title, Golden State Warriors is determined to silence all their critics. On the previous season, even after winning the NBA championship, critics were persistent in saying that the Warriors won just because of sheer luck. In response to this, lead point-guard Stephen Curry apologized to their critics for playing well and for being a good team. In a report, Curry stated that;

"I apologize for us being healthy, I apologize for us playing who was in front of us. I apologize for all the accolades we received as a team and individually. I'm very, truly sorry, and we'll rectify that situation this year."

True to his words, Curry and the Golden State Warriors are rectifying the situation. With just few days from the opening of NBA's regular season, the Warrior is on a winning streak having 4 wins and 0 losses to their standing. If things would continue to be as is, then the Warriors has a greater chance of surpassing their 67-15 game record last season.

Warriors first five, Klay Thompson, is optimistic about their team this year. He stated via yardbarker, that they might reach 70 wins this season, a record that was set by the Bulls during Jordan's era, 1995-1996. On his statement, Thompson stated that;

"Seventy-two wins, that's a lot of wins, man. I don't know if that will be done again, but hey man, we might be the team to do it just because we reached 67 last year. And if we stay focused and we take every game serious, we should have a chance to reach 70."

However despite the difficult record attempt, Warriors has already set and broke some records of their own. An article published by yardbarker, laid some "15 amazing stats from the Warrior's historical start." To highlight some, "the 50-point win against Memphis was Golden State's largest margin of victory since it defeated the Sacramento Kings 153-91 on November 2, 1991." And "Golden State earned its 20th consecutive regular season home win on Monday, breaking the franchise record it set last year."

The Warriors is indeed having a good start despite the absence of their official head coach Steve Kerr who is currently nursing a medical condition. But still, it would be early to conclude how things would turn out for the Warriors and the rest of the NBA teams. It's still too early to conclude on where the blessing of the basketballs gods would ultimately be given.
