NBA Star Richard Hamilton Lists Maryland Waterfront Mansion For $3.99 Million

NBA star Richard Hamilton has relisted his Maryland waterfront mansion for sale at an asking price of $3.99 million.

The basketball player first decided to part with the property, dubbed "The White House," in 2010 when he listed it for an asking price of $4.5 million. Not receiving any positive response, he removed it from the market a few months later. Now, the property is back in the market and reports have it that the sports-star has received an offer for the house for $3.75 million, which is $245,000 less than the asking price.

The 9,300-square-foot home has four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, including a master suite with a spa-like shower, soaking tub and walk-in closet. The spacious kitchen features a breakfast bar, butler's pantry and top-tier appliances; and an open living room area featuring a wood-paneled wet bar and billiards nook. The house also has a fully furnished basement including a recreational room and an additional bedroom suite that opens up to a covered patio which connects the house to the pool area.

The listing on Realtor.com reads:

The White House offers a striking & sophisticated blend of classic & modern architecture while optimizing southeastern exposure with unobstructed views to the Chesapeake Bay * Full scale renovation of 9,000+ sq ft from 2006-2008 to include major systems & exquisite detail * Gentle access to waters edge & private pier with 4 lifts plus slip for a 65+ ft yacht * Max sun exposure on waterside pool *

Hamilton purchased the house in 2005 for $3.5 million. However, when he decided on selling the property, the home underwent a complete renovation that updated systems and details throughout the home.

On the career front, the shooting guard is currently weighing his professional options after spending last season with the Chicago Bulls.
