Luxury Retreats: Step Inside The Brando Resort in Tetiaroa, the Previous Home of Actor Marlon Brando

Those who love the beach are in for a real treat in the exceptional luxury hotel, The Brando Resort in Tetiaroa, a neighboring island to Bora Bora and La'Taha. This luxury retreat was once the home of actor Marlon Brando, who filmed a movie on the French Polynesian island back in the 1960s and fell in love with the place since.

According to News.com.au, the actor actually built a house on the beautiful island, but it has since been converted to a luxury hotel, now known as The Brando. The island boasts inviting clear, turquoise waters and glorious white sand, and it offers 35 villas with their own private beach and pool.

The report states that Brando owned the island six years after he discovered its beauty. He was previously quoted as saying, "My mind is always soothed when I imagine myself sitting on my South Sea island at night."

According to the luxury retreat's official website, the French Polynesia resort is also home to a sparkling lagoon. The incredible beach also boasts magnificent creatures which frequent the island such as sea turtles, manta rays and exotic birds.

The hotel's villas either have one, two or three bedrooms. They feature huge spaces and are equipped with media rooms where guests can watch movies or listen to music. WiFi is also available. There's also an outdoor bathtub beside the plunge pool.

The larger villas are fitted with a dining area and larger decks where guests can enjoy utmost privacy. The decks open to the exceptionally beautiful beach, and amazing sea views can also be enjoyed from the villas themselves.

According to News.com.au, a stay at the luxury retreat costs about $400 a night. Other hotel facilities include a spa and restaurants.
