"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will air an emotional episode a few weeks from now that will feature Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) confronting their mom Lily (Annie Wersching).
The CW just dropped the official synopsis for "Mommie Dearest," and it reads, "In order to get through to Lily about Julian's manipulating ways, Stefan and Damon confront their mother with painful memories from their childhood."
"However, when Lily reveals a dark secret she's been harbouring for over 160 years, Stefan and Damon are left questioning everything they've ever known about their family. Determined to prove himself to Lily, Enzo comes face-to-face with Julian and challenges him to a duel, but an unexpected twist threatens to complicate things. Elsewhere, Matt finds himself in the middle of a deepening mystery involving the residents of Mystic Falls, and Caroline's world is turned upside down when Valerie reveals some life-changing news to her."
Meanwhile, fans are now speculating what Lily's revelation will be about. Some fans believe that it's possible that the head of the Heretics will reveal that Damon and Stefan are not really brothers. Other fans believe that Lily could reveal who the Salvatore brothers' real father is.
In other news, Thursday night's episode of "The Vampire Diaries" will focus on Caroline urging Stefan to meet up with Valerie for their much-deserved closure.
However, the estranged couple's conversation will lead to Valerie telling Stefan that she was once pregnant with his child. This confession will have a huge impact on Stefan, and it's possible that it will affect his current relationship with Caroline.
Additionally, "Live Through This" will also reveal Bonnie's (Kat Graham) newest love interest in the flash-forward scene. According to Graham, Bonnie's three-year time-jump scene will be unlike any other because her character will be revealed as a villain, according to International Business Times.
