Real Estate News: 9 Cities in the USA Where Small Homes are Big

With tiny homes being the center of attention these days especially in the congested urban areas, there are places and cities around the United States of America where the small homes are already big enough.

Builder Online, after determining the big homes market, studied the cities in the USA that are top markets for small homes. The data used for the study is the mashed up 2015 home closing data from Metrostudy with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) report.

It has been noted that consumers are choosing smaller homes for more obvious reasons such as smaller price tags, can be more energy-efficient, and cut out unnecessary spaces.

And here are 9 cities, one from each 9 regions in the USA, that lived up to having smaller homes:

New England: The smallest median homes are found in Keene, NH, at 1,500 square feet.

Middle Atlantic: There are good options for small homes in New Castle, PA with the median home size at 1,100 square feet.

South Atlantic: For this region, Ocala, FL has the most number of small homes that are at a median of 850 square feet.

East North Central: With a median size of 833 square feet, Muskegon, MI keeps it meek

East South Central: Newport, TN, has a lot of small homes that are at a median of 864 square feet.
