Lego film and Doctor Who fans can look forward to another treat as the possibility of Doctor Who appearing in Lego Movie 2 is surfacing the news.
According to slashfilm.com, discussion between BBC and Warner Brothers to include the doctor to the sequel movie. The Lego Movie director Rob Schrab that it's unclear whether Doctor Who will have a cameo role in the film or a much more significant cast like Batman.
The news for the new movie didn't come as a surprise after Lego had brought Doctor Who to its video game "Lego Dimensions" and the toy company plans on releasing a Doctor Who playset next month.
The story created by Michelle Morgan and Jared Stern is being used by Lord and Miller to write the story for "The Lego Movie Sequel." Miller said that story for the next movie is set four years after the first movie happened. "When he's an adolescent how does that change his point of view?" he said.
In a report by io9.com, there are no further details regarding the new partnership of Warner Brothers and BBC but fans think that it's a more logical tie- up since Lego have already included Doctor Who on their video game.
The upcoming partnership is not the first collaboration between big companies as Han Solo and Chewbacca had been already seen on the first Lego movie. Aside from Doctor Who, Gandalf from Lord of the Rings franchise has already been included in Lego Dimensions. After the success of the first Lego film, it's not surprising that the addition of Doctor Who will bring more flock of fans watching the sequel in the big screen.
The team behind the Lego sequel also revealed that the movie will happen in "weird, dystopian version of Bricksburg" and that Emmet's sister will be revealed. Fans can check out the promo video of Lego Dimensions to have an idea if ever Doctor Who, indeed, joined the Lego party.
