Lego Dimensions Update: 'Expansion Packs are here!'

The game "Lego Dimensions" was released in September of this year and now it is getting exciting packs that adds new iconic characters to the game.

According to Design and Trend, the latest batch of DLC packs adds characters from the Doctor Who franchise. The other packs are Ninjago Team Pack, Unikitty Fun Pack, Bart Simpson Fun Pack and Krusty Clown Fun Pack.

The announcement was also posted in the official Twitter account of Lego Dimension. The tweet reads, "New #LEGODimensions Expansion Packs are here. Let the games begin! https://bit.ly/Get-LEGODimensions ..."

The title of the packs have a significance because level packs will add a new story to the game and its associated character and vehicles. Therefore, the Doctor Who Level Pack comes with a new story for "Lego Dimension". On the other hand the Fun Packs (Unikitty, Bart Simpson and Krusty Clown) will only add a character and a vehicle. And the Ninjago Team Pack will add two vehicles and characters to the game.

The Doctor Who Level Pack has been getting positive feedback. According to Kotaku, the the $29.99 expansion pack is a sure win. It plays like a television episode that opens with credits followed by a prologue featuring a Dalek of ships. Even though the expansion does not include Clara but comes with K-9 and the TARDIS vehicles and that should be exciting enough. The expansion brings an additional lengthy level, unlike the other packs that only add characters and vehicles. Lastly, it comes with collectible mini toys, the Lego version of Peter Capaldi, who plays the 12th lead of the series "Doctor Who", A Lego Tardis and Lego K-9.

On the other hand, some fans are still wondering if characters from the Marvel franchise would come to "Lego Dimensions". Sadly there is no update on that yet but it can be recalled that Mike Jones, an executive producer with Marvel Games, did not say "no" when he was asked about it during New York Comic Con.
