Cleveland Cavalier's Forward, LeBron James, Planning to Pull Off the Best Power Play in NBA History with the Team

General Manager David Griffin can't devise deals nor target free agents for the Cleveland Cavaliers without the approval of James. Coach Blatt can do substitutions and make play calls, but James can veto it.

Magic Johnson and Kobe Bryant have chosen who to coach them to championships - Pat Riley for Johnson, Phil Jackson for Bryant - but the two did not hand-pick their teammates. Michael Jordan had also reworn his uniform back on with the Washington Wizards, picked his coach and his teammates, but he didn't succeed in winning a championship.

No one in league history and none of the aforementioned has the combination of influence and potentials that Lebron James has with the Cavaliers.

"LeBron wants to be the guy that says, 'I was the one who brought a championship to Cleveland," said Paul Silas, who has coached James during his first two seasons with the NBA, according to Bleacher Report.

Expecting a title for Cleveland, James has appeared to focus on his preparation. Those close to him say they have never seen him prepare with such focus because he's convinced, along with Love and Irving, that a title is there for the taking. Even if there was an assortment of injuries or his current back issues that has reduced his training-camp activity, the five consecutive trips to the Finals is clearly beginning to show.

In a letter published by Sports Illustrated after he decided to leave Miami Heat and return to the Cavaliers, James said it was simply a desire to return to his hometown.

Link Is news said that Cleveland Cavaliers general manager, David Griffin, gave James credits in convincing Jefferson to come to Cleveland. "There wasn't that much of a sale," Jefferson says. "It was a no-brainer."

Haywood says it's the same thing with what happened in Washington with Jordan. They knew that Michael was the GM also, and every guy on that roster was there because Michael wanted them there. They all accepted it because he was the greatest player ever and even at 40 years old, still outplayed everybody.
