Initially offered for $2.5 million, the eccentric Mansion Road home is now for sale with a slashed price of $2 million after spending nearly a year in the market, according to Curbed.com.
The whole property sits on a 16.7-acre estate that is bordered by a state forestland and is just a 20-minute drive from Manchester and Concord. The 5,600-square-foot mansion features three bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and one-half bathroom. There's also a 2,000-square-foot entertainment section highlighted by a 1950s-style diner, extravagant bathroom, a stone pool area with its own outdoor kitchen, two decks that wrap around the whole house, a fitness center, extensive landscaping, and more.
The house also has that equestrian feel to it, according to the house's listing in Zillow.com. The mansion has a rustic element, randing fromvaulted ceiling, a barn that has an indoor and outdoor ring, a lighted sport court, paddocks, and low stables.
The most intriguing and attractive feature of the house is its custom lighting, as pointed out by Curbed and Zillow. The latter described the lighting fixtures as "out of this world."
Built in 2002 and renovated in 2009, the mansion has spent 298 days in the market as of this writing. Curbed speculates that the home's very unique architecture and peculiar design elements are among the reasons why it hasn't found a new owner yet. The huge drop in its price has been called a "generous" reduction by realtors.
While the Zillow listing has heaped postive promotions for the house, with lines such as "creates a feeling of joy to all who are fortunate enough to visit," Curbed commented that the house "probably doesn't match too many people's exact tastes."
Still, only seven shoppers have showed interest in the property out of over 6,500 views, according to Zillow.
