Michael Strahan, the retired New York Giants defensive end and co-host of the immensely popular talk show 'Live! With Kelly and Michael' with Kelly Ripa has reportedly entered into contract to purchase a $17 million mansion in Brentwood, Los Angeles, according to some news reports.
Strahan and his model fiancé, Nicole Murphy had been renting a $20 million apartment in New York City. Back in October, the couple were spotted looking at a $25 million penthouse in the city, reports The New York Daily.
However, looks like they have decided to move to California instead because sources say that Strahan is almost closing deal on a $17 million mansion in Brentwood. The Real Estalker reports that the residence is a 15,600 square feet grand residence comprising of nine bedrooms and 11 full and three half bathrooms.
Pictures of the multi-story home show hardwood flooring, tray ceilings and French doors and windows. The home has spacious, airy interiors and has exclusive features like a large theater, a snooker room, a state of art gym and a bar area.
Outside the residence has an infinity pool and a huge portico that provide ample space for recreation.

Strahan and Murphy also lease a $20 million residence in Beverly park. Was the New York apartment a temporary pied-a-Terre for Strahan? Will they stop leasing the Beverly Park home once they finally own the Brentwood home?

The couple sold their Bel Air home for $11 million in August 2013. They made quite a good profit on the sale as they had purchased it for $7.9 million in 2012.
Meanwhile, the last real estate nugget from co-host Kelly Ripa was her Crosby Street penthouse listing, which hit the market with a $24.5 million in January, 2013. She and her hubby Mark Consuelos were looking for a buyer privately since 2010, but failing to sind one - they listed it publicly earlier this year.
