From Tim Burton's global box office hit Alice in Wonderland back in 2010, the first and official trailer of its sequel entitled Alice Through the Looking Glass is finally out.
The trailer has definitely showed enough scenes of how whimsical and adventuresome Alice Through the Looking Glass will be. What really gives the fans goose bumps and chills in this production are its climatic plot, notable characters and its spellbinding cinematography.
According to E! News, most of the original casts will still be seen in the second film. Among them are Mia Wasikowska who portrays Alice Kingsleigh; the veteran and multi-awarded actor, Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter; Anne Hathaway as the white queen, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen; Rhys Ifans as Zanil Hightop, Matt Lucas as Tweedledee and Tweedledum; Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat; Alan Rickman as Absolem; Michael Sheen as Nivens Mctwisp; Timothy Spall as Bayard; Paul Whitehouse as Thackery Earwicket; and Barbara Windsor as Mallymkun. The trailer has also presented a sneak peak of the new villain, Time who is played by Sacha Baron Cohen. The voices of Toby Jones and John Sessions will also give life to Wilkins and Humpty Dumpty respectively. That's quite a long list of big celebrities to watch out in this movie.
The film is based on the novel written by Lewis Carroll featuring Alice travelling back to the Underland to save the Mad Hatter as cited in reports. Posters also reveal the big part of the clock in the story.
As reported by Cinema Blend, this Tim Burton co-produced sequel will debut in theaters next summer, May 27, 2016. The fiction movie is directed by James Bobin while Linda Woolverton wrote the screenplay. Unarguably, there's a big reason to save up for a great list of movies to look forward next year.
