'Arrow' Season 4 Review: 'Haunted' Got a Little Something for Each Character; Ratings Rise With John Constantine Appearance

Despite the leaked video of episode 5 of “Arrow” Season 4, the review of the TV series is still very satisfactory. The positive review is obviously based on the character development, wherein each character has been given that sort of spotlight, and somehow resolved whatever is necessary for the episode.

Forbes has its take of the recent episode “Haunted” of “Arrow” Season 4. According to the online magazine, there are four big things that were discovered in the the 5th episode.
First and foremost, in “Arrow” Season 4 episode 5, fans learned that Oliver Queen and John Constantine were old pals. The two met on Lian Yu, and together they “fought the smoke monster.”
Second big revelation in “Arrow” Season 4’s “Haunted” is that mystical powers of Constantine helped restored Sara Lance’s soul to her body.
Third big thing exposed on this episode of “Arrow” is John Diggle and Capt. Lance working together. Both carried out “one of Damien Darhk’s tasks—to infiltrate a government server building and infect the system with a virus. The virus wipes out a bunch of peoples’ files, including Diggle’s brother.”
Capt. Lance confronted Damien Darhk when he returned to Darhk to tell him that Lance finished the task. Darhk explained that Andy Diggle was killed because he’s a criminal and a competitor of H.I.V.E. When John Diggle learned this truth, he found it hard to accept.
Fourth thing that’s been covered in episode 5 is that Ray Palmer, who was thought dead in the 3rd season of “Arrow,” is already confirmed alive. Felicity finally gave in to Curtis’ convincing, that is to check on the sound file that Palmer has for her.
TV Fanatic also has looked into the 5th episode of “Arrow” Season 4, which is pretty much similar to Forbes, dissecting key players of the TV series. Overall, the online magazine says that the episode “Haunted” is great, especially if the viewers are the fans of Laurel or Constantine. It is pretty obvious that the spotlight of the show is directed on them. Although, the issues of Ray Palmer, John Diggle, Thea Queen, Capt. Lance, Sara Lance, and the morals of Oliver Queen were also covered in the episode. As TV Fanatic puts it, “there was a little of something for everyone.”
As far as the rating of “Arrow” season 4 episode 5 is concerned, Comic Book Resources reports that John Constantine’s visit to Star City has done magic to the rating as well. As reported, there’s an increase of 11% in its rating.
Considering the improvement of the rating, do you think the showrunners of “Arrow” season 4 should keep John Constantine for awhile? What do you think? Share your comments below.
