Is Beckett's smelling Castle's shirt a sign that she is ready to reconcile with her husband again? This has been the agony of viewers in the past half of the season and they're awfully sad from the turn of events with the two "Castle" lovers. Seeing them work together cases to cases of hideous crimes while Beckett is trying to edge her way out and distance from Castle. Will we see a romantic reconciliation in the next chapter of the season?
"Castle" spoilers from co-showrunner Alexi Hawley talks to TV Line about what could compensate Castle's agony over his wife's sudden decision of separation. It was evident how small things like a left "NYPD shirt" of Beckett can do so much to alleviate Castle's many questions on their relationship.
"That's a really powerful last moment that shows you that all that love is still there." Hawley told TV Line. "She wants him to remember her, so yes, she knows what she's doing."
"Castle" season 8 spoilers also indicated that Castle hearing everything from the nose expert made a difference over his longing for his wife. "But I do think that even though she was talking about moving out and she got her stuff, what happened with The Nose and everything definitely relieved him a bit."
And it was undeniable that Castle is suffering on the process with his anonymity about the situation, the co-showrunner gave an insight to what Castle is experiencing.
"Part of [his frustration] is that he doesn't quite understand exactly what's going on with her. His questions about what's really going on are what's ultimately driving us to the end of the fall finale (titled 'Mr. & Mrs. Castle' and airing Nov. 23)."
"Castle" spoilers revealed that Castle would have someone to talk to in the hard process in his relationship with Beckett.
"So what we really tried to do with him and Detective Slaughter was have a bit of the 'guy conversation' about 'What's happening with your wife?' - but also really flip that guy perspective on its head, in the same way that we try to flip the Slaughter character on its head a bit." Hawley revealed. "They definitely talk about it but again, it ends up being a positive conversation."
