Tyler Florence, the master of culinary experiences who shot to fame hosting shows for Food Network, has reportedly put up his home in Mill Valley, California, for sale with an asking price of $1.9 million, according to several news reports.
The home, located in the Cascade Canyon neighbourhood of Mill Valley is a rare home. Tyler lived with his family in the home for quite a few years. Property records at Redfin show that the residence was last purchased in 2007 for $1.2 million. Considering the asking price, Tyler is probably looking for a profit on the deal.
The residence is a 2523 square feet, five bed- two bath home sitting on an 8799 square feet lot. Interiors of the home feature light hardwood, panelled floors and vaulted ceilings and large glass windows. The two story home is a beautiful single family residence and has a perfect floorplan. Outside, the home is surrounded by lush greenery and has a 2-car garage also.
The listing describes the home as:
Straight out of a design magazine! International celebrity chef Tyler Florence's personal residence offers an unparalleled opportunity to acquire a piece of Mill Valley history. The iconic 1926 cottage style residence has been renovated with high end, timeless designer finishes throughout. Perfectly site placed adjacent to a seasonal creek in a walk to town location. Completely level lot w/ multiple play areas in the coveted flats of Mill Valley.

One of the most elaborate features of the house is the (yeah! you guessed it) Kitchen. Tyler opened up his personal cooking space to House Beautiful in 2011. Talking about his kitchen, Tyler said:
"My kitchen at home is where all the action happens (a lot like yours, I'm sure). My wife, Tolan, and I balance out our busy lives managing three restaurants; our three kitchen shops; a hectic media schedule; a new wine label; our baby food company, Sprout; and, of course, our three beautiful children: Miles, Hayden, and Dorothy."
Tyler also designed the 2011 Kitchen of the year for the publication. Check out a video below to see the kitchen:
