Sir Ben Kingsley, the talented British actor of the 1982 hit documentary 'Gandhi', has reportedly purchased a home in Beverly Hills for $2.7 million, according to some real estate reports.
The Real Estalker broke news of the sale. Apparently, the deal went through sometime in mid-August 2013. The seller happens to be Breckin Meyer of the 'Franklin and Bash' fame. He listed the residence back in May 2013 for $2.9 million and seems to have taken a slight loss on the sale price.
According to the listing records, the home is a 4888 square feet single-family residence comprising of five bedrooms and six bathrooms. The home sits amid 0.33 acre land and was built in 1936. Interiors of the home are done up with hardwood flooring and French doors and windows.
Living spaces of the home include a formal living room, a dining room, a family room and a den. A modern kitchen and a laundry are some of its other features. The interiors open into large patios and a covered porch.
Outside, the home has a pool and a grassy patch of land. It also has a parking garage.

Sir Kingsley has several properties in England as well. He opened doors to his Oxfordshire home to the Architectural Digest in 2003. The home is done up with style, every bit of it renovated.
"Because of the amount of light that comes pouring into the house from the Oxfordshire sky, I was able to use colors from Matisse's palette, from his visits to Morocco, to great effect-red in the dining room, yellow in the kitchen, terra- cottas and pinks," Kingsley told the publication.
Sir Kingsley married his fourth wife, Daniella Barbosa de Carneiro in the house in 2007 in a secret ceremony. The reception was held in a manor house near Chipping Norton, which is also owned by him, reports Daily Mail.
