Katy Perry's net worth is expected to increase after Forbes named the "Roar" singer the highest-earning woman in music in 2015. She amassed $135 million this year following the success of her Prismatic World Tour.
According to the latest report, it is expected that Perry's net worth, which is $260 million, will soon improve. According to Forbes, she has cashed in massive earnings from streaming of her hit singles, 126 shows and successful engagement deals with companies, including Cover Girl, Claire's and Coty.
"I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company," Perry told Forbes during the summer. "I'm an entrepreneur. ... I don't want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls."
The "Firework" singer has beaten her rival, Taylor Swift, who earned $80 million for the past 12 months. Fleetwood Mac, a famous British-American rock band, landed on the third spot with $59.5 million earnings. The group pulled in $1 million per city in their tour the whole year, News Sky reports. Lady Gaga has landed at no. 4 with $59 million, while highest earner of 2014, Beyonce moved to no. 5.
The list of highest-paid women was based on their pre-tax earnings covering June 1, 2014 to June 1, 2015. It is said that by next year, Swift will probably top the list with her 1989 tour. The publication reports that the "Bad Blood" singer grossed more than $4 million per city, and as far as the trend goes, she seems to be not slowing down. If it does not change, it looks like Perry will have a rivalry again with the pop singer.
Since her debut album, "One of the Boys," Perry's net worth didn't stop growing. Her first album was followed by "Teenage Dream," "MTV Unplugged," "Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection" and Prism. She has won six Billboard Music awards, five American Music awards, five MTV VMAs and is yet to receive a Grammy award.
