Rapper Ludacris Snags $4.8 Million Home in Hollywood Hills

Ludacris, the 'Word of Mouf' hitmaker, has reportedly purchased a home in Hollywood Hills for $4.8 million, according to some real estate reports.

The rapper purchased the home after selling a condo in the same area. He bought that condo in 2007 for $1.3 million but took a $151,000 loss on the sale, reports Trulia.

The new home is an upgrade from the sold condo. The residence is an 854 square feet, single family home comprising of five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Interiors of the two-story home feature mixed flooring and drywall ceilings with large floor-to-ceiling glass windows and sliding doors. Outside, the home has an infinity pool and ample recreation area.

Although Ludacris took a drop in his sale price on the condo, he did something good with that money. Recently, he donated $50,000 to help victims of typhoon Haiyan that hit the Philippines.

"Typhoon Haiyan has hurt so many people," the musician said in a statement, reports USA Today.

"If we can give what we are able to help the families who have been devastated by this tragedy, we can all make a difference," he added.

He also went on to encourage people to reach out to the victims.

"You don't need to be an entertainer to help. You just need a mobile phone. Please text AID to 80108 to make your $10 donation to help our neighbors across the sea get back on their feet. The world is made up of many voices, but we are one community. By making a text donation, we are a community of action, helping our fellow world citizens in their time of need. Suffering knows no borders. Our charity and compassion can stretch across the sea. It's simple - you use your cell phone every day. If you can, use it today to make a $10 donation to help the people of the Philippines now when they need it most," he quipped.
