"Sleepy Hollow" star Nikki Reed penned a touching story about her hair and beauty secrets as well as finding her inner worth for Elle Magazine.
In the piece, Reed revealed that she fell in love with putting on makeup when she was just a young girl. In fact, she learned how to use makeup even before she learned how to ride the bike.
Reed also talked about her mom and how a lot of people told her that they looked so much alike. There was reportedly one time when she stared at her and realized that she can't wait to become an adult like her.
Ian Somerhalder's wife revealed that it was also her mom who bought her her first makeup kit. Growing up, Reed will reportedly put on as much makeup as possible because she enjoyed being told that she looks like a grownup.
However, years passed and she realized that she wasn't doing things right.
"As I got older, I began to recognize the beauty in a natural, makeup free visage. In my early twenties, I discovered my love for oil and my disdain for the smell of chemical-laden perfumes. And although I once made fun of her for it, I was undeniably following directly in the footsteps of my amber-patchouli-wearing mother," she wrote.
Meanwhile, Reed is reportedly faced with marriage issues with husband Somerhalder. Recently, there have been reports that the couple is in the brink of divorce especially after they failed to meet halfway on the best time to have kids.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Somerhalder is ready to have kids in the next few months. However, Reed wants to delay pregnancy a little for fear that her work may be jeopardized.
As of late, Reed and Somerhalder have not yet commented regarding the issue.
