Persistence is Michael Jordan's mantra.
After the NBA legend's Chicago mansion failed to sell on the market, went to auction and failed to go under the hammer there too, 'His Airness' has put his mansion up on the open market with a $16 million price tag, $3 million more than the minimum reserve price!
Talk about confidence.
The residence hit the real estate market in February 2012 sporting a lofty price tag of $29 million, which was slashed down to $21 million in July 2013. Jordan's Home is one of the most expensive listings of the area.
Sometime in the last week of November, the home was set to be auctioned off. However, since there was no minimum reserve fixed and there was an evident lack of buyers for the mansion, it was taken off the auction block.
More recently, it went under the hammer again Dec. 16 with a $13 million minimum reserve but failed to find a buyer at that time too. However, Jordan has full faith in his property and has therefore listed it for a higher price now.
The 56,000-square-feet home sits on a seven acre land and is beautifully landscaped. The grand mansion was built in 1995 and comprises of nine bedrooms and 15 full and four half baths. The fully-furnished place has five fireplaces. The exteriors of the home include basketball and tennis courts along with a pond and an indoor-outdoor swimming pool. The garage is a 15 car parking space.

The NBA official website calls Jordan "the greatest basketball player of all time." His immense ability to leap and his super scores at slam dunks earned him nicknames like "Air Jordan" and "His Airness."
Jordan currently lives in Jupiter, Florida. Looks like, he has to make some extra space in that residence because the Bulls legend is all set to become a father. According to several news reports, Jordan and his wife Yvette Prieto are expecting identical twin girls.
