Dancing With the Stars News: DWTS Rejects Bindi Irwin's Contract Due to Lack of Proof of Father’s Death

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge refused to acknowledge Bindi Irwin's contract with "Dancing With The Stars" in order for her to get paid by ABC, because she is a minor and needs parental consent, being only seventeen-year old.

Her mother already signed off the release but the judge requested her father's too, or at least have her present his death certificate, according to E! News report. It is not clear whether the judge is aware who her father is.

In the same report, E! News confirmed that, "the rights of Bindi's contract with DWTS states that she was guaranteed $125K for joining the show. By making it to weeks 3 and 4, she received $10K per week on top of that. Then, she was granted an additional $5K for each week she made it through week 7. By getting through week 8 and 9, she would be granted an additional $30K. Thus, she has already racked in $230K. If she gets through the finals weeks, she will take home an extra $50K, which would earn her a total of $360K overall."

Covering the same issue, TMZ supplied that the judge apparently wants a proof that Irwin is giving up his rights to Bindi's money. Her lawyers promised to do whatever it takes to get the judge to sign off.

This current setback is not the only thing Bindi has been going through these days. She shared with E! News that she's losing almost all of her toenails and suffering from extreme pain. The toes have fallen off and they keep bleeding, Steve Irwin's daughter said. One good thing she is thankful about though is being partnered with Derek Hough as he makes her feel good just being around him.

Let us hope to see more of Bindi in DWTS the weeks to come.
