In “The Young and the Restless,” (Y&R) fans were in a rollercoaster of emotions as Christian Newman, the son of Sage (Kelly Sullivan) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) was announced as dead while other characters were struggling to survive a huge fire, but it was later on revealed that Christian isn't dead after all, Celeb Dirty Laundry reported.
When Sage and Nick arrived at the hospital after surviving the fire during the Halloween gala at the Newman Towers, they were met by a doctor who informed them that the baby died due to complications. The doctor said that she tried to contact them hours before but apparently, there was no phone reception in the tower when the fire broke.
Sage and Nick demanded to see their son but the social worker told them that the body of Christian was damaged due to the measures the medical staff did to save him. They advised the parents not to see the baby's corpse. Since they were insisting, they allowed them to see the baby but Sage decided she can't bear seeing Christian in that condition, which made it easier for the doctors to lie about the baby.
The death of the Newman baby was faked by Dr. Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush) who kidnapped the infant and gave it to Sharon (Sharon Case), telling her that it is her son.
The motive of Dr. Anderson isn't clear yet but it is speculated that she is a relative of Sandra Allen, a girl who once suffered a spinal injury in High School at the Newman ranch. Whatever are her reasons to hurt Sage and Nick, viewers will soon find out in "Days of Our Lives."
Meanwhile, Patty (Stacy Haiduk) who was rumored dead is still actually alive when a vending machine fell on her. It appears that the rumors are not true since Patty can still walk around when she was seen standing over Ian (Ray Wise) offering to help him, Soap Shows reported.
Patty once told Sharon about her doubts on Dr. Anderson since she believes that Sharon or the baby she is carrying is in trouble. She said, “I have been in mental institutions long enough to know when I see a shady doctor, and SHARON, Dr. Anderson is a Quack.”
