Reese Witherspoon, the 'Legally Blonde' actress has finally managed to unload her Ojai ranch but for a million-dollar loss. According to some real estate reports, the ranch has sold for $4.9 million.
The Real Estalker broke news about the sale. However, listing records at Redfin show a sale pending sign on the estate.
The ranch sold after more than a year on the listing market. It first debuted in Sep. 2012 with a $10 million asking price. However, as time passed the 7-acre estate received a couple more pricechoppers. The price was last brought down to $5.9 million in October 2013. But the place sold for exactly half its initial listed price.
The Ojai estate has quite a celebrity history. The property was owned by actor Harold Ramis and designer Kathy Ireland before Witherspoon picked it up in 2008. Apparently, it also served as an 'escape' for Robert Pattinson when he first found out that girlfriend Kirsten Stewart was cheating on him, reports People Magazine.
The home was also featured in 'House Beautiful' and 'Elle Décor' as well.
According to the listing, the estate has a main house, three guest cottages, barns, horse stables and huge pastures of sprawling greenery. The main home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Other features include a formal living room, dining room, library/study, a loft and a family room. The kitchen is a large bright modern space with a breakfast area. The home also has a laundry room.
Outside, there is a pool, an open patio, large organic gardens and a carriage house. A detached covered parking garage accommodates guests' cars.
The estate also served as the wedding venue for Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth, when they tied the knot in 2012.
