"New Girl" Season 5 will have a new star to replace the lead role who is on maternity leave but the replacement didn't impress the fans. Meanwhile, Lamorne Morris revealed some spoilers for the show.
Lead actress Zooey Deschanel is currently on maternity leave. Hence, Megan Fox will replace her role for season 5 as confirmed by executive producer Elizabeth Meriweather. Fox will play the role of Reagan, a medical sales representative who will rent the loft of Jess while she is in jury duty, VC Post reported.
"I'm super excited," Deschanel said, according to People as she films one episode with Fox. "Essentially, [my character Jess] gets on jury duty and has to be sequestered, so the roommates rent out her room for a few weeks." She also added that she believes that Fox is "going to be fantastic."
But fans bashed the Transformers star posting negative remarks about the new season since they believe that Fox doesn't fit for the comedy show. Meriweather defended the actress and said that they just have to accept it that Fox will play the role, Deadline reported.
Meanwhile, Lamorne Morris who plays Winston Bishop dropped some spoilers to Bustle using some intriguing and interesting emojis which was interpreted by Bustle. It was indicated that Schmidt and Cece will tie the knot since the previous season ended with Jess proposing to Cece.
"I'm just going to say jury duty," Morris said hinting about the show. "There's a jury duty episode, which causes a bit of a shake in the loft. And the loft will look like something you've never seen before."
It is also teased that there will be some heartbreaking scenes or maybe some sadness because the Coach will no longer be with them. Aside from that, there could be a new love interest for Winston.
"New Girl" Season 5 will soon premiere on FOX on 2016.
