Another Duggar is up for a potential charity controversy and this time it involves the newly married couple Amy Duggar and her husband Dillon King.
Radar Online reported that after Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard offered to refund their fans that supported their controversial mission work, another Duggar is starting her own charity works.
It has been reported that on Amy and Dillon's website, the couple are promoting "Go Shout Love." This organization was established in order to help families who have a child with a rare kind of illness. They will be featuring different families every month that needs financial assistance.
The website also claims that "Half of everything we earn each month goes straight to our featured families to help with medical costs and related expenses!"
According to the Examiner, there are different ways on how the people can help the chosen family and give to the charity. Donors can directly send money to the organization or buy items that they sell such as shirts and jewelleries. These items were said to be inspired by the featured family of the month. Another way also is through auctioning your stuff in their Instagram account.
But the catch is, the organization is "not recognized as a charity by the government." Being a non-profit organization simply means that the funds that they will be able to come up with can be spent in any way they want. There will be no public records on how the money was used.
As the website say, "Please be aware that we are currently working towards establishing a non-profit foundation for Go Shout Love, but at this time do not hold a 501c3 status."
