The full trailer of the film adaptation of "World of Warcraft" premiered at the recently concluded BizzCon.
Polygon reported that the two-minute trailer was released during the annual two-day gaming event hosted by Blizzard Entertainment.
The 3-D epic adventure movie is based on the popular Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game or MMORPG from the same company. Universal Picture produced the film in collaboration with Legendary Pictures. Duncan Jones ("Source Code," "Moon") helmed the live-action film while "Blood Diamond" screenwriter Charles Leavitt wrote the script for "Warcraft."
The trailer starts off with a voiceover saying "For years, our world has been at peace - but something is coming." The story focuses on the humans and orc races. The two former foes were left without a choice but to help one another as a new enemy endangers the world they both call home. According to Coming Soon, the Alliance side is led by Sir Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel) who decided to work alongside the Horde side. The orcs are headed by rival Chieftain Durotan (Toby Kebbell) to save the world of Azeroth. However, this decision was not welcomed by Lothar's men and it boiled a lot of conflicts on the human side.
The cast of the "Alliance" side includes Travis Fimmel ("Vikings") as Anduin Lothar, Dominic Cooper ("Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter") as King Llane Wrynn, Ben Foster ("X-Men: The Last Stand") as Medivh, Ben Schnetzer ("The Book Thief") as Khadgar, and Ruth Negga ("Marvel's Agents of SHIELD") as Lady Taria.
Meanwhile, the Horde side includes Toby Kebbell ("Fantastic Four") as Durotan, Anna Galvin ("Tin Man") as Draka, Clancy Brown ("Highlander") as Blackhand, Robert Kazinsky ("Pacific Rim") as Ogrim, Daniel Wu ("Into the Badlands") as Gul'Dan and Paula Patton ("Hitch") as Garona.
"Warcraft" will be released on June 10, 2016.
