Steve Silverman's "Club 5150" is a new web series to watch for.
"Club 5150" is a four-part comedy web series that follows the story of Angela (Crista Flanagan). As soon as Angela arrives home she will find out that 5150 has been called on her because of the fear that she can bring danger to herself. Angela only has 72 hours to prove to her husband, best friend, therapist and also the nanny that she is indeed sane. The term 5150 is used for an involuntary admission to a psychiatric facility that will last for three days.
According to We Love Soap, the web series cast features familiar faces which include Crista Flanagan from "MadTv," Adrienne Wilkinson from "Xena," Wayne Wilderson who guest starred on "How To Get Away with Murder," Michael Caruso, Mary Gallagher, Sharon Houston, Mari Weiss, Eden Riegel, Crystal Carson and Lee Sherman.
Soap Opera Spy said that Deidre Hall from "Days of Our Lives" and Eden Riegel from "The Young and the Restless" are also part of the web series. Deidre will appear for one episode as Nadine. According to Serial Scoop, Riegel will be playing the role of Seven who happens to be a mysterious member of the club.
Silverman is excited to have Riegel as part of the show saying, "We are beyond thrilled to have Eden join the fun." He added, "She's someone I've been wanting to work with for years. And I think the audience is really going to enjoy seeing her in a role that's kind of a change-up in pace for what they're used to."
As seen in the official trailer, Angela's therapist Dr. Pope (Adrienne Wilkinson) gathers her family and friends as part of the intervention. Dr. Pope will assure Angela "that no one is here to judge you everyone is here to help you."
But in order for them to start helping Angela she needs to hand over the glass of wine, "This is a protein shake. It's fortified with antioxidant grapes. I'm depleted after a rigorous Zumba workout," says Angela.
The web series is PG-13. "Club 5150" will premiere on Monday, Nov. 9. Watch the trailer below.
