Taylor Swift, the 'I knew you were Trouble' crooner has herself got into some trouble for trying to build a perimeter wall around her mansion in Rhode Island. Residents of the area are pretty annoyed with the singer for trying to disrupt the public beach and restricting access, according to several news reports.
Swift has apparently been moving rocks from the coastline and rearranging them. Cranes have been seen shuffling boulders from the beach and moving them around. While some residents told TMZ that all that work was confining access to the beach, surfers said that the rearrangement was 'messing with the wave break'.
"It was bad enough when she moved in, but to ruin a part of the town for all of us ... this is a whole new level of hate," a neighbour reportedly told the website.
Some residents also took to twitter to express their frustration, reports HollyScoop.

However, representatives of Swift say that they are simply restoring the coastline and are only fixing a 'revetment' that has been in bad shape for some time, reports Boston Globe. They also added that the wall Swift is building is just a re-construction of a destroyed perimeter that had eroded over time. They have legal construction permit from the government and are not breaking any rules at all. The government has also said that Swift had acquired legal permits.
Swift is rebuilding the wall for security purposes. More recently, an intruder was arrested for trying to break into her property. Lucas H. Vorsteveld, a die-hard Swift fan was arrested after he admitted to swimming up to the beach in front of Swift's mansion with the intention of meeting the star crooner.
Swift's Rhode Island home spans an area of more than 11,000 square feet. Comprising of eight bedrooms, ten full and one half bathroom and eight fireplaces, the four story place is a luxurious mega mansion. It has about 700 feet of shoreline.
