It's not new for Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi to be subjects of divorce rumors. This time, new reports claim that they have been fighting over the model/actress' wish to have a baby. The popular TV host is reportedly not happy about it which brought a lot of strain to their seven-year marriage.
Ellen, 57, and Portia, 42, have made it clear that they're in no way interested in having their own children. However, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, it seems that they may be on the last straw to save their marriage after the "Scandal" star's failed IVF treatment to have a baby. Rumor has it that the 57-year-old host is glad that Portia's treatment was unsuccessful.
"Ellen said she realized she doesn't want to be a mom. It was utterly devastating news for Portia. She really hasn't recovered from it. Ellen can be very selfish at times...She wants things her way," according to a source.
Ellen and Portia's relationship is said to be falling apart due to the host's selfish ways. A new report from Classicalite says that the couple has been trying to work things out amidst their misunderstanding as they are not willing to just throw the towel in their marriage. They reportedly attend couple's therapy, but every time the Australian actress sees a baby, she reportedly feels heartbroken.
There are also reports claiming that it is becoming extremely hard for the 42-year-old as she has to choose between her wish to have a baby and her "power-hungry" wife. Despite reports of gossip sites, Ellen and Portia appear to remain secure in their relationship and have managed to say that they are content to share their passions than focus on having kids.
"Portia's into art deco more than I am, but she loves everything that we're doing," Ellen told PEOPLE. "We are having a hard time staying put. I keep trying to find a better home. But I'm happy. This is what I love to do."
Ellen and Portia are both enjoying their passion for interior design and art deco, respectively.
