Is "Stone Temple Pilots" falling apart? As per Loud Wire, the band's former frontman Scott Weiland suggests that Chester Bennington (who took his place after he left) has left the group. This news made the headlines after his interview with Alternative Nation.
It is when Weiland made a surprising revelation stating that:
"He's not in the band anymore. I heard he's not in the band anymore, Chester's got a band 'Linkin Park' where he gets paid $700,000 a night with, and with STP, the brand is kind of falling apart, which is a shame."
No official statement was released by "Stone Temple Pilots" in regards to the band's current status. A tweet from their fellow musician, "Highly Suspect" vocalist Johnny Stevens, aroused interest from fans as he was approached by "Stone Temple Pilots'" guitarist Dean DeLeo if he's available to fill in the spot.
Straight up dean deleo called me and asked me to join but I said no. That's not a joke. https://t.co/5bSypzfx64

Chester Bennington joined "Stone Temple Pilots" last 2013, after Weiland was fired as their vocalist. The band then released their first material with Bennington as their vocalist with an EP entitled "High Rise." Bennington has been touring with the band over the past years. He's been juggling his schedule as he is still with Linkin Park at the same time.
As of their latest performance, "Stone Temple Pilots" made a performance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Mashup Monday with the soul singer Joss Stone. Their performance aired live last November 9. Numerous media websites are reaching out for Bennington's response in regards to him leaving but there isn't any update in regards to the issue.
