Andrew Mason may have masterminded the discount dealing firm, Groupon but who knew he would take the 'reduced deals' to a personal level. According to sources, Mason has sold his Chicago home for almost $800,000 lesser than his asking price at $4.07 million.
Mason listed the residence sometime in July 2013 for $4.8 million. The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the home changed hands in December 2013. Apparently, the buyer is a partner at a law firm.
Mason purchased the home back in 2012 for $3.8 million. Even with the price cut he took on the sale price, the former CEO took away a slight profit from the deal.
Listing records of the home state that the residence is a 4693 square feet, single family home, sitting on a 0.97 acre lot. The home has five bedrooms and four full and one half bathroom.

Mason has now settled down with his wife in Silicon Valley. However, he still owns a condominium in Chicago.
At about the same time that Mason listed his Chicago home, he also released a rock album 'Hardly Working' on iTunes and Spotify. The alternative rock album reflected Mason's quirky humor. It was filled with 'tech' nuances blended with basic lyrics but wondrous brilliance.
"I was climbing Machu Pichu
As I beheld the splendid view
An idea came for 100 million
Of shareholder value" - one of the song's lyrics went.
Speaking about the album, which garnered mixed reviews, Mason was quoted by New York Daily News saying:
"I managed over 12,000 people at Groupon, most under the age of 25. One thing that surprised me was that many would arrive at orientation with minimal understanding of basic business wisdom....It was with this in mind that I spent a week in LA earlier this month recording Hardly Workin', a seven song album of motivational business music targeted at people newly entering the workforce."
