The home of fashion designer, Lilly Pulitzer, in Palm Beach, Florida, has sold for $8.2 million, according to sources.
The home was initially hauled on the market with an $11.5 million price tag in January 2011. It was re-listed for $8.5 million, after receiving a $3 million pricechopper in April 2013. According to the Realtor Blog, the home sold sometime in December 2013 for $300,000 lesser than its reduced asking price.
The home is nicknamed "The Jungle" for its lush greenery. Built in 1983, the residence has lovely tropical landscapes, numerous architectural loggias and arched windows. The home was marketed as a piece of land on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) due to its size.
Three separate units sit on a 1.4 acre land. The property has a total of nine bedrooms all spread across three separate units. The main residence has four bedrooms, the Casita has three and the pool house has two bedrooms. While the Casita has a living room and a classic kitchen, a sauna and three bathrooms are also a part of the pool house.

Pulitzer's children, Liza Pulitzer and Peter McKim Pulitzer of Brown Harris Stevens were the agents of the house.
Lilly Pulitzer passed away on Sunday, April 7 2013 at the age of 81 at her Palm Beach residence. Her memorial ceremony was held at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda By-the-Sea in Palm Beach. Many friends and family members gathered to remember Pulitzer. However, many of the mourners sported printed floral designs for which Pulitzer was most famous.
Pulitzer was a very passionate designer. She said she designed clothes so she could spread joy among women.
"I designed collections around whatever struck my fancy ... fruits, vegetables, politics, or peacocks! I entered in with no business sense. It was a total change of life for me, but it made people happy," Pulitzer told The Associated Press in March 2009.
Pulitzer's designs have been widely loved and admired by every strata of the society. Of her several signature stores, the Virginia Beach one was recently renovated. Check out all her signature stores, here.
